About Kevin Flynn

Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn was first elected to the Ontario legislature in October 2003.

Prior to his election, Kevin owned and operated a small business, while serving as an Oakville Town and Halton Regional Councillor for over eighteen years. He has always been active in the community, as a president of the Halton Children’s Aid Society, a mentor in the Big Brothers program and a coach of many minor sports.

Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty most recently appointed MPP Flynn Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of the Environment after his successful re-election in 2007. 

The Premier first appointed Kevin as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour in 2004. In this role Kevin toured the province and led the provincial consultation process for Bill 211, which ended mandatory retirement in Ontario.  Kevin subsequently served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister Responsible for Democratic Renewal.

Kevin and his wife Janice have lived in Oakville for more then 28 years and have one son, Nigel.
